Redistribution of responsibilities at Aerzener Maschinenfabrik

In order to keep pace with the rapidly increased turnover and additional growth of Aerzener Maschinenfabrik GmbH, the shareholders appointed the graduated industrial engineer Björn Irtel and the Master of Business and Engineering Bernd Wöhlken starting from 1st September 2011 as additional Managing Directors besides Klaus-Hasso Heller.

Both new Managing Directors are well-known in the company for a long time already: Bernd Wöhlken started his work with Aerzener Maschinenfabrik on 1st February 1999 as successor of the leaving sales manager. This year, Björn Irtel may even look back to a period of employment of 20 years.

Björn Irtel

After his studies in mechanical engineering, Björn Irtel started on 1st August 1991 his work as junior engineer in the construction dept. and changed in 1993 to department quality control. Its management was taken over by Mr. Irtel in 1994. In 1999 the position of the technical manager was vacant and Björn Irtel returned to the technology department. Under his management he combined the departments technology and quality assurance.

He managed very successfully this department for twelve years. During this time Björn Irtel and his team have developed successfully new products; latest innovation is the Delta Hybrid.

After joining the management, Björn Irtel will still take care of the technical orientation of the company. In addition, he is responsible for the areas quality control and production.

Bernd Wöhlken

Before joining Aerzener Maschinenfabrik, Bernd Wöhlken worked 10 years as sales manager of a pump manufacturer in Southern Germany. Thanks to his efforts Aerzen group has grown tremendously. Under his sales management the number of subsidiary companies has more than doubled. Mainly in Asia, Latin-America and Eastern Europe Aerzen group has expanded strongly thanks to Bernd Wöhlken’s efforts.

He is already Managing Director of many subsidiary companies and was appointed in July 2007 chairman of the board at Aerzen International Sales GmbH – a holding company that takes care of the shares of many foreign subsidiary companies.

Besides his executive functions in sales he will in future also be responsible for the areas purchasing and the process gas division - recently founded.

Klaus-Hasso Heller

The CEO of Aerzener Maschinenfabrik will still be responsible for the areas Finances and Controls, Personnel, IT, Process and Order Control as well as After Sales. At the same time he acts as speaker of the newly formed board of chairmen.
