In many cases the required quantity of compressed air is not constant. The quantity is depending on the individual application. Then speed-controlled machines generate the conveying air in a very economic way as they are adapting their output to the fluctuating requirements with highest energy efficiency. Since 1868 Aerzener Maschinenfabrik GmbH has been producing machines for air conveying – but so far with separately installed power cabinets. The series Delta Blower Generation 5 (positive displacement blower) and Delta Hybrid (rotary lobe compressor) have been extended by integrated speed controlled systems especially for the use on variable requirements. They produce in a predifined range just the currently required quantity of conveying air, fluctuating in the speed range between 25 and 100 % and supplying now conveying air more economically. Naturally, these systems combine all advantages of the correspondent unregulated series.

The new all-in-one systems with integrated stage, frequency converter and power section installed on a common base frame are ready to use immediately after connection of power supply and conveying air line. For this reason, the new speed-controlled packages are ideal for decentral installation directly at the system. They can be operated as single unit or in combination with systems operating at a fixed speed.
